![]() APCA Outstanding Member Award David T. Lin David Lin currently holds the position of Executive Director - External Affairs at AT&T Inc., in Bedminster, New Jersey. In this capacity, he is responsible for building, nurturing, and deepening relationships with key national Asian American community-based organizations to enhance overall communications with the community and to articulate AT&T's strategic position and direction. During his career at AT&T, David has also held a variety of leadership positions with a proven track record in Consumer Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Finance, Systems Development, and Data Center Operations. David has been actively involved with Asian Pacific Islanders for Professional and Community Advancement (APCA), the Asian American employee resource group at AT&T for over 17 years. He currently serves as APCA National President with the responsibility of setting strategic direction and overseeing the operation of 11 APCA chapters around the country. He was the founding Chapter President of the 4A Basking Ridge Chapter in 1991, and he has served on a variety of positions at both the local and national levels since then. He is a board member of Asian Corporate Leadership Network (ACLN), a consortium of APA corporate employee organizations based in New York, with its member corporations including Accenture, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan Chase, Lehman Brothers, Prudential, Verizon, and AT&T. In April 2006, David was elected as a School Board Member at the Hillsborough Township in New Jersey, serving a three-year term, and was recently elected as the Vice President of the Board in April 2007. He is also a Commissioner of the Hillsborough Cultural & Arts Commission as well as a Trustee of the Hillsborough Education Foundation and Hillsborough Public Library Advisory Board. David was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. He received a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, a Master of Business Administration degree, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics, all from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He also graduated from the Program for Management Development Executive Education from Harvard Business School in 2000. |
