June 8, 2010From the APCA Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter June 2010 Newsletter: AT&T Volunteer Event at North Texas Food Bank APCA DFW organized a volunteer event at the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) the morning of June 8th with a total of 50 volunteers to work at the food bank "assembly line" and make a difference in the lives of thousands of local hungry children. The NTFB is a nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased, and prepared foods through a network of 1,146 feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties. The NTFB supports the nutritional needs of children, families and seniors through education, advocacy and strategic partnerships. The volunteer event was a fun experience and noble cause to reach out to our community and "live out" our corporate commitments. A big Thanks to APCA members: David Arbuckle, Jessica Yang, Sam Zhu, Sammy Yang & Family, Sylvia Tong, and Stephanie Mossburg who volunteered for all your hard work to pursue a hunger-free community in this hungriest season of the year for children. |
